When Chris Hemsworth isn't battling the high seas in search of an all-destroying but unconquering whale, he's hanging out on Twitter to talk to adoring fans.

Hemsworth is currently on the press trail for his new film, In the Heart of the Sea. It's an adaptation of Moby Dick, or rather based on the true story that inspired the famous novel. He was on Twitter on Sunday, Nov. 22 to answer questions from fans, and thankfully Twitter's very own fail whale was nowhere to be seen.

Things started off well, with the God of Thunder blessing us all with a selfie.

Hey @People! Ready to answer everyone's questions. #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea pic.twitter.com/JxsEPm9rK2— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

Twitter responded accordingly.

Opening questions were innocent enough, with fans asking about the film through questions moderated by People magazine.

First question for @chrishemsworth from @CelinaG20018206: How did you prepare for your role in #IntheHeartoftheSea? #AskChrisHemsworth— People magazine (@people) November 22, 2015

A lot of research around the book and the history behind these true events. Also had to go to sailing school! https://t.co/bxNrMivEg0— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

Chris referred to losing all that mythic, Norse muscle as one of the toughest challenges of the film, and shared a photo of himself in his best Tom Hanks-in-Cast Away get up as evidence.

.@chrishemsworth, @_hollykruz asks: What was the most challenging part of filming #IntheHeartoftheSea for you? #AskChrisHemsworth— People magazine (@people) November 22, 2015

Losing the weight. See the photo I tweeted earlier. I don't recommend it... #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/16NQgX40Zp— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

Just tried a new diet/training program called "Lost At Sea". Wouldn't recommend it.. #IntheHeartoftheSea pic.twitter.com/y89McNuiiV— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

Hemsworth made his intentions clear on what remake he'd like to star in.

.@chrishemsworth, @WaterJunkee asks: Which remake of a movie would you like to be the lead actor in? #AskChrisHemsworth— People magazine (@people) November 22, 2015

The Lion King, and I'd play Scar. #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/red2lwx9Wt— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

Before admitting his favourite film is one we all love and cherish.

.@chrishemsworth, @HemsworthsFans asks: What's your favorite movie of all time? #AskChrisHemsworth— People magazine (@people) November 22, 2015

The NeverEnding Story! #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/s7ZdgkZUgh— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

Hemsworth put the nail in the coffin on where he stood in the battle for Katniss Everdeen's heart.

@chrishemsworth #AskChrisHemsworth team Peeta or team Gale?— Ciara (@ciara_kelly) November 22, 2015

Isn't it obvious? Peeta. #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/IoZAM21uUH— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

But he didn't specify whether Thor would be siding with Captain America or Iron Man in the next Captain America film, Civil War.

@chrishemsworth #AskChrisHemsworth is Thor #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan??— sebstan!JJ!caitlin (@Bvckyswintxr) November 22, 2015

He's #TeamThor. #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/Dar9V4JJTH— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

Although, he did reveal which one of the Hemsworth family he thinks is better, scoring a metric tonne of brownie points in the process.

Leonie. My mum. #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/pgmmCWQxdH— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

The tweeter who Hemsworth answered below deleted their question, but his answer is the song "Believe" by Cher, so it is obviously the most important query he responded to.

"Believe" by Cher. Obviously. #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/G3iDvz5Seb— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015

He swooned one lucky fan in French.

@chrishemsworth can you say something in french? @people #AskChrisHemsworth— emma (@CHL0EBENNNET) November 22, 2015

Je t'aime. #AskChrisHemsworth #IntheHeartoftheSea https://t.co/O8PuTtgyl6— Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) November 22, 2015
