Chris Rock is our 2016 Academy Awards host.

Hollywood's biggest night will be held Feb. 28 on ABC. This will mark Rock's second go as Oscars emcee; he last hosted the show in 2005.

“I'm so glad to be hosting the Oscars,” Rock said in a statement. “It's great to be back.”

“Chris Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry,” producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a statement. “Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian -- he’s done it all. He’s going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!”

To get a feel for Rock's hosting flavor, here's his monologue from the 2005 show, where he riffed on Hollywood's lack of diversity and politics.

Rock also memorably joked about Jude Law's successful career.

"Who is Jude Law? Why is he in every move I have seen the last four years? He's in everything, even in a movie he's not acting in! If you look at the credits, he made cupcakes or something," Rock joked.

Sean Penn famously didn't take too kindly to the joke, saying "Jude Law is one of our most talented actors" when he stepped onstage later that night to present the lead actress award.

Here's hoping we get more golden moments like that at the 2016 Oscars.
