Russian photographers Vadim Makhorov, 26, and Vitaliy Raskalov, 22, climbed the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro in May 2015. Only recently, though, did they release footage from their time at the top of the 125-foot-tall monument -- and the images they captured are incredible.

This video reveals the two men waiting until nightfall to enter the monument and climbing up stairs to an opening on its shoulder.
