It's a pun so obvious and simple it's almost a wonder that it hadn't been done earlier in Christopher Walken's long career.

In Kia's just-released "Walken Closet" Super Bowl ad, the actor is looking to add some "pizzaz" to a hapless closet owner's sock collection. But the dramatically rendered fashion advice also comes with a bit more ominous of a warning than your typical style tips usually include.

"Eventually the beige sock people get lost or devoured by the ones who stand out," Walken says in a sinister tone. "Do you want to be devoured?"

He illustrates his point with a colorful polka-dotted sock puppet.

The whole performance is apparently meant to serve as an analogy for Kia's new Optima, which the ad claims is the polka-dotted socks to the beige footwear of the other cars in its class. The 60-second ad, created by agency David&Goliath, will air during the third quarter of the game this Sunday.

“There are a few special moments in one’s career," Colin Jeffery, the agency's chief creative officer, said in a statement. "Those times when you find yourself in an interesting place, making something you never thought possible, with someone you never thought you’d meet. Being in a closet with Christopher Walken and 600 pairs of beige slacks was definitely one of those moments.”
