The Chromebook, as we've seen it called on some of Google's branded materials, is intended to be a cloud computing device, one that gives users the option to stay connected to the web through the browser 24/7.

The devices will not require contracts for Verizon's 3G service, and users will not be charged activation or cancellation fees. There will also be no overage fees.

Google also announced that day passes could be purchased for $9.99; the day pass would include unlimited data access.
