Future's recent comments about Ciara prompted his ex-fiancée and the mother of his son to slap him with a $15 million defamation lawsuit.

The "Goodies" singer filed a lawsuit Monday in Georgia's Fulton County Superior Court accusing the rapper, whose real name is Nayvadius Wilburn, of defamation, libel and slander.

The lawsuit claims that Future "has published numerous false and defamatory statements" about Ciara that contain "several misrepresentations" about her conduct and character. It further alleges that the statements were "clearly published with actual malice."

She refers specifically to an interview Future gave to HuffPost Live in July 2015 -- shortly after her relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson became publicized -- in which he said their breakup "had nothing to do with cheating." The lawsuit alleges that Future "knew that his comments were untrue when he made them" and that he made them in order to promote his upcoming music.

The lawsuit also references his interview with the Breakfast Club that same month in which he spoke at length about Ciara's relationship with Wilson as well as their son, Future. The lawsuit alleges that he made these comments "with no regard for how his inappropriate behavior would" affect their son.

"Plaintiff has always sought to keep the parties' private family matters private and out of the public eye," the lawsuit reads. "It is clear now, however, that Defendant does not share in Plaintiff's sentiment and desire to keep their private family law matters private and confidential for the sake of their Minor Child."

Ciara also points specifically to Future's tweets in January in which he discussed their ongoing custody battle, saying "This bitch got control problems ... " and "1 justt] want babyfuture that's all." The suit alleges that this was a "grossly, inaccurate, false impression" of Ciara, saying she has never prevented Future from seeing their son.
