CircleBuilder Gets $800K for Religious Social Network

CircleBuilder, a site where churches can set up social networks, has raised $800,000 from Great Lakes Angels and others. The site's co-founder Howard Brown, based out of Franklin, MA, was behind niche social network PlanItJewish.

About 30 churches and 100 users have signed up for the CircleBuilder beta test; the platform seems solid, and only a lack of users and content let it down. MyChurch is a similar concept.
