Some foods look too good to eat, and some foods look good enough to put in a museum.
Russian food photographer Tatiana Shkondina uses food to recreate famous works from some of the art world's greatest painters, such as Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali.

Shkondina uses various types of foods to achieve the same styles, colors and textures as the great artistic masters. Just as watermelon, cheese and chocolate become a sleek Mondrian painting, a swirl of blueberries transforms into van Gogh's night sky. "I try to imagine which product will be the best match to [the] art," she said.
Photographer Alex Tivanov also assisted in post production for the series. More of Shkondina's work can be seen on her website and official Facebook page.
