The Cleveland Police Department released extended footage of the Tamir Rice shooting on Wednesday.

The nearly 30-minute video shows what happened after 12-year-old Rice, who is black, was shot by a white police officer in November while carrying a pellet gun. Police say a Cleveland police officer shot Rice after the boy didn't put his hands in the air after he was asked to do so. Rice died in a nearby hospital a day later.

The video shows Rice's 14-year-old sister being handcuffed after running to her younger brother. Police had previously released a video clip showing Rice's shooting.
