In September, the United Nations will vote on 17 proposed Sustainable Development Goals for the world to strive for over the next 15 years.

The goals include taking unprecedented steps to halt climate change, guiding the policies that will change the world for the better by framing global agendas and guiding political action.

The UN will vote to finalize their Sustainable Development Goals this September at a special summit in New York.

Mashable's sixth annual Social Good Summit, which will take place from Sept. 27 to 28 in New York, will bring together world leaders, grassroots activists and global citizens to discuss these goals, as well digital solutions to everything from climate change to healthcare.
