Coca-Cola Celebrates Movement in Cheery New Ad

Coca-Cola has been focusing its energy on advertising that promotes healthy living and attempts to combat obesity. Now, it has hired Nexus Productions' Johnny Kelly -- director of Chipotle's "Back to the Start" video -- to create a cheerily animated film which celebrates movement.

The ad, which introduces the tagline, "Happiness is movement, movement is happiness," follows an animated puppet as he experiences a host of joyful moments throughout his life. We follow him from his birth (where he's thrown into the air), a date with his wife, the birth of his child, and so on, while he's in constant movement. He's always either running, biking, dancing, or simply wiggling to and fro in happiness.

On Kelly's Vimeo page, he explains that the ad is meant "to show how movement was key to his happiest moments, so we commissioned model-making virtuosos Anarchy to create a set of moving animatronic puppets that can run, jump and throw babies in real time."

Coca-Cola's campaign against obesity is also present on its website, where it asks visitors to submit ideas for its campaign, offers health tips, and gives updates on upcoming events.
