Coca-Cola Creates a Park, Happiness Ensues

This should appease all you No Logo types concerned about corporate America impinging on the public square.

Coca-Cola rolled out the green carpet -- actually, real grass -- on a grey public square in Vilnius, Lithuania. The slab of concrete had been unused and grim, but -- voila! -- it's amazing what some plant life can do.

As a brand message, it's spot-on with Coke's long-running "Open Happiness" campaign, which aims to surprise and delight. As a stunt, it's a little questionable since an aerial shot reveals that the whole area was actually a giant Coke ad. Midday revelers, you've been had!
