Huihong Luo, the founder of Codase, just emailed me to tell me a bit more about his inspired source code search engine. Obviously I'm way too pompous to get my hands dirty with any actual coding, so I'll leave Huihong to explain its merits:

"As you would have probably noted, there is huge amount of open source code out there; however, the current big players, Google, Yahoo and MSN, all failed to address this specific need. Developers build all interesting projects, and yet they lack a powerful search engine for themselves. We are here to fill this void. We wanted to build a world class search engine for developers.

Our first focus is to allow developers to easily find code snippets from more than half billion lines of source code in c, c++, java, c#, etc. The unique feature from our offering is that our engine interprets code as code, rather than text, and thus offers the best search results compared to other services available today."

One problem, Huihong - you don't seem to have a Codase blog. Please don't make us fill out your feedback form!
