Some artists draw on bar napkins. Others, like Miguel Cardona, choose something a bit different for their canvas.

The illustrator and lead designer at imgix, an image processing company, creates stunning illustrations on paper coffee cups. His subjects include a broad list of characters ranging from Grumpy Cat to Walter White.

Cardona sells the cups and donates all of the proceeds to the charity Project Night Night, which supplies more than 25,000 "Night Night Packages" for homeless children each year -- packages containing books, blankets and stuffed animals.

The website Cool Hunting reports that Cardona was inspired to decorate his cup after a barista tied a napkin to his coffee order, which he envisioned as a scarf.

The full collection of Cardona's cups can be found at here.
