[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]College Fanz sports network, launched by ESPN founder Bill Rassmussen, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding from the Musser Group. I covered College Fanz's debut a few months back, just as the football season was beginning to heat up. Now that the NCAA tournament is peaking, it's a great time for College Fanz to further market itself and grow its user base.

With thousands of pre-existing groups that have been created for colleges and universities across the nation, it's easy enough to get your own account set up in order to follow the school team of your choice. But as a mentioned in my initial review of College Fanz, the site's networking capabilities are a bit tricky and are not the most conducive for extensive relationship-building throughout the site, even when the networking is done for something as ubiquitous as sports.
