The United States recognizes Columbus Day on Monday, and we've put together a Music Monday playlist to give you the best imaginable audio simulation of the expedition that brought Columbus to North America.
While the holiday itself can be controversial, one thing that's clear as the ocean is that this playlist would liven up any transatlantic expedition.
To begin, let Queen get you in the ambitious mindset necessary to voyage into the great unknown with "I Want It All" and, when you're sufficiently amped, move on to "Come Sail Away" with Styx.
And while the arduous voyage will no doubt take its toll, nautical party anthems "I'm On a Boat" by The Lonely Island and "Fantastic Voyage" by Coolio will keep you moving toward your goal of discovering "A Whole New World."
