Comcast's CEO wants customers to know that its title as the second-most hated company in the U.S. is not one it tries to earn.
Speaking at Recode's Code Conference on Wednesday, Brian Roberts discussed the cable provider's poor customer-service reputation.

Roberts shifted the blame onto other companies, explaining that Comcast is the most consumer-facing company in the industry.

Roberts also defended its acquisition of Time Warner Cable, which still needs regulatory approval, and has come under scrutiny from a variety of media and cable-industry companies. Comcast came second only to TWC in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's most-hated companies list released in March. TWC received the lowest score of all time.
On Monday, The New York Times published an editorial calling for the deal to be blocked.
