Kenneth Denson and Gabriel Mendez, owners of the Red Pegasus games comic book shop in Dallas, Texas, spent their morning at the courthouse, waiting in line with dozens of other couples for the Supreme Court's historic ruling on same-sex marriage on Friday.

After the decision came through, Kenneth and Gabriel were able to get married legally in their home state.

While they were at the courthouse, the two left a hopeful sign on their storefront. A photo of the sign was uploaded to Reddit late Friday morning, rising to the top of the page with more than 1.5 million views.

"It still hasn't completely hit me," Denson wrote in an email to Mashable. "But it's incredible to finally be equal in the eyes of the law."

Don't worry, comic book fans, the newlyweds have officially reopened their store for business -- after downing a few celebratory cupcakes, of course.
