'Community' Actors Mock NBC's Unknown Premiere Date [VIDEO]

Season four of Community was supposed to debut Oct. 19, but NBC delayed the premiere until an unknown date. Today, the show's actors are mocking the situation in a new YouTube clip and on Twitter, where the joke has sparked a worldwide trending topic.

The video focuses on characters Troy Barnes and Abed Nadir, who try to explain NBC's intentions.

"Even though the powers at be agreed to put the premiere on Oct. 19, they couldn't decide where to put Oct. 19," Abed says. "They explained to us that Oct. 19 isn't just a date. It's a state of mind."

The @NBCcommunity handle has been using hashtag #ThatsOctober19th to rally fans:

Actor Joel McHale had teased the clip to his 2.8 million followers prior to the video's reveal, saying he would tweet a "gift for the greatest fans in history of television."
