LONDON -- There's nothing less Christmassy than having to get the train to work in the morning, right?

Wrong. One group of Welsh commuters decided to bring some much-needed festive cheer to their morning commute by turning the 08:08 train from Abergavenny to Cardiff into one big, travelling Christmas party.

The group of friends who organised last Friday's feast took to social media to share pictures of their commute.

"As we often spend 40 minutes a day travelling to work together, we thought 'Why don't we have a Christmas party?'," Chris Lines was quoted as saying by ITV.

"We brought along prosecco, smoked salmon and sausages and we even had paper chains on the windows and pulled crackers."

Lines went on to explain that the train was fairly cramped, so they had to sit at a table that already had someone on it.

"We asked him if he minded lifting up his laptop so we could put our Christmas tablecloth on," Lines said.

"He looked at us as if we were crazy, but he soon got into the swing of things."
