During Monday's episode of Conan, the late-night comedian paid tribute to David Bowie -- not as the musician, but as the man.
"People are remembering today what a phenomenal musician David Bowie was... but in my experience, he was also an incredibly nice person, he was fun, and he was always funny," Conan began.
He then aired a six-minute montage featuring interviews conducted with Bowie spanning decades, showcasing the sweet and charming side of the singer.
Andy Richter, Conan's late-night announcer, also tweeted about his experience meeting Bowie.
He was also funny and kind. I feel lucky to get to say that from personal experience. I feel so sad, but mostly lucky. We all should.— Andy Richter (@AndyRichter) January 11, 2016
Bowie died Sunday following an 18-month battle with cancer.
