Conan O'Brien was just wrapping up the taping of his show on Monday night as the sad and shocking news broke of Robin Williams' apparent suicide at age 63.

In front of a live studio audience, some of whom were also learning of his death for the first time, the talk show host saluted the late comedian, along with Andy Richter and guest Will Arnett. "This is so upsetting on every level ... We are absolutely stunned to get this news," O'Brien said.

"As funny as he was...he was even better as a person," Arnett added. O'Brien and Richter paid their condolences to Williams' family before signing off.

Williams was a frequent guest on his TBS talk show Conan and NBC's Late Night With Conan O'Brien. Below, he appears on Late Night in 2005, promoting the movie Robots.
