Someone in Congress really has Wayne Gretzky's back

This is your tax dollars at work, America?

Someone with a Congressional IP address noticed that NHL great Wayne Gretzky wasn't getting his props on Wikipedia -- and did something about it.

A Twitter bot called @CongressEdits tracks anonymous Wikipedia edits made from Congressional IP addresses. On Wednesday morning, it noticed that someone with such an address made a change to Gretzky's Wikipedia page, the first result that shows up when you Google the hockey legend's name.

It seems Gretzky's height was listed as 5 feet 10 inches on Wikipedia -- until someone in the high reaches of U.S. government apparently decided to give The Great One a few more inches in stature, and boost his height up to an even 6 feet.

What's Gretzky's actual height? Six feet, according the NHL.com.

So justice, as they say, has been served for the Canadian hockey icon. If only passing legislation was so simple.
