Enterprise social startups are all the rage these days. Well, maybe not, but Yammer did bring attention to the fact that although B2B apps are less sexy than consumer apps, they still bring in the cash.
Today's tech is changing how people communicate in real time, which allows more employees to work remotely, but can also enable productivity when someone's in the same room (remember when you would Gchat your roommate while sitting right next them?). Collaboration happens more organically with wikis, discussion forums and file sharing, while anything that allows people to email less makes happy workers.
