Cop talks suicidal man down from bridge, gives him a hug

On Wednesday, in Raleigh, North Carolina, a cop saved a life simply by offering a helping hand.

Officers received a call around 7 p.m. that there was a man standing on the edge of a bridge near Wade Avenue. Officer Dan Hicks, who was off duty and headed home, saw the man and pulled over to offer his assistance .

After talking with the man, Hicks convinced him to climb back from the edge of the overpass.
