We've already seen soccer demigod Lionel Messi inspire one starstruck opponent to bow down to him before a match. Now, here's another one for the archives: An opponent in the Copa America tournament, South America's high stakes international championship, asked Messi for a selfie on the pitch moments after the final whistle.
Jamaican striker DeShorn Brown, a professional soccer player in his own right, says he had his phone ready and his plan in place as the final moments ticked down in his country's 1-0 loss to Messi and Argentina on Saturday.

Here's video. Brown's teammate doesn't appear too happy about the public act of reverent capitulation moments after getting beaten.
"Messi is the best in the world, a star, and that's a photo I'll have as a souvenir all my life," Brown said later, according to Sky Sports.
Here's Brown showing off his "souvenir."
