What a waste of some perfectly good avocados -- and some perfectly good weed.
A suspicious delivery at a cold storage facility in Lyons, Illinois, prompted a call to the Cook County Sheriff's office. Officials later discovered approximately 2,100 pounds of marijuana hidden inside a shipment of frozen avocado pulp.

A K9 unit was called to the scene. Once drugs were detected inside the shipment, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) was notified.
The investigators searched 1,512 boxes, each of which contained several packages of frozen avocado pulp; some contained bricks of marijuana hidden inside the pulp. The estimated street value of the confiscated 2,100 pounds of marijuana is $10 million.
The smuggling tactic sounds like someone had just watched that Breaking Bad episode when Gustavo smuggled meth out of the Los Pollos Hermanos facility using the cover of fry batter.
The real-life investigation, however, is still ongoing. Sorry, guacamole fans.
