Jeremy Corbyn's song choice for his first big speech was pretty obscure

LONDON -- Filling his first address as party leader at the Labour Conference with the odd humorous one-liner and a message of "kind" politics, Jeremy Corbyn was sending a message of positivity to members gathered in Brighton.

That message continued well after the speech had reached its conclusion, with Corbyn's exit song.

The leader opted for Chairmen of the Board's 1972 song -- 'Working On A Building Of Love' -- hammering home his intentions for the Labour Party and Britain.

Setting aside the song's Biblical allusions, Corbyn's hopes for the future - according to the Chairmen of the Board - include 'doing [his] part', being 'a shelter for everyone' and, most importantly, 'lov[ing] one another.'

Can he do it? Jez he (hopefully) can.

Read the full lyrics to 'Working On A Building Of Love' below:

I read a book the other day

That changed my life in every way

It read "Noa build an ark

Before the rain begins to start"

Now I'm doing, I'm doing my part

I'm working on a building of love

Gonna build it in the name of everyone

I'm working on a building of love

Gonna build it in the name of everyone

I turned the pages of the book

And gave my life a second look

It read "Blessed be the poor"

We're all sisters, we're all brothers,

We should love, love one another

I'm working on a building of love

Gonna build it in the name of everyone

I'm working on a building of love

Gonna build it in the name of everyone

Everybody, let's get together

I've got a hammer, I've got a plan

Gonna be a shelter for everyone

Call it out across the nation

Gonna get together, it's a strong foundation

You and me, me and you, him and her, everyone

Everybody, let's get together

Working on a building of love

Gonna build it in the name of everyone

Working on a building of love

Gonna build it in the name of everyone

Everybody, let's get together
