A corgi named Bethany had quite the day on Saturday after an airline mixup put her on a flight to Honolulu, Hawaii, instead of Mississippi.

Bethany was scheduled to fly from Seattle to her new home in Mississippi, with a connecting flight in Dallas. However, in Dallas, American Airlines accidentally placed Bethany on the wrong flight, causing her to end up in a sunny tropical paradise.

When Bethany didn't show up in Mississippi, professional breeder Paul Chen assumed she was lost or had been stolen. He had already offered a $1,000 reward when American Airlines realized its mistake.

Bethany was held in Honolulu under the care of a veterinarian until Monday when she was slated to fly back to Dallas, according to Hawaii News Now.

We can only hope that she was also given a lei and a refreshing cocktail served in a coconut. She deserves it.
