An Iowa couple didn't let bad service prevent an act of restaurant kindness.

When Makenzie and and Steven Shultz went out to dinner for their anniversary last Saturday night, they were disappointed by the slow service at the understaffed restaurant. "Our service tonight sucked. 20 minutes to get water, 40 minutes for an appetizer and over an hour for our entree," Makenzie wrote on Facebook.

They saw their waiter struggling and, realizing that he would probably receive poor tips from his other tables, decided to tip $100 on a $66.65 meal.

Makenzie shared her receipt on Facebook, hoping to remind others to pay it forward. The post quickly spread and currently has nearly 1.5 million Likes.
