And you thought Asylum was crazy.
FX unveiled its first teaser (above) of the latest American Horror Story installment, Coven. The preview, titled "Detention," is all of 18 seconds and plays a haunting version of "House of the Rising Sun." A creeping camera crawls down a hallway to reveal raggedy women suspended on the wall. A white cat slinks in the corner and other bodies float, hidden around the chandelier-adorned room.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that round three, set in New Orleans, will feature a face-off between witches and voodoo practitioners, exploring present-day characters and real historical figures from the 1830s.
The creators behind the miniseries took to Facebook to make the initial announcement, using the creepy tagline: "Lift your spirits." The third season is slated for an October premiere, and will reportedly feature Kathy Bates and Emma Roberts, among others.
