And now, further evidence that professional football players are just large toddlers in helmets. A joint practice between the Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Rams turned ugly when a fight broke out between the two teams.

Professional, indeed.

The brawl went down in Oxnard, California on Tuesday, leaving the teams unable to finish their second joint practice, ESPN reports. According to Dallas Morning News reporter on the scene, Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took a hit in the face.

The poor guy even lost an earring in the fray, which was later recovered from the field. Though Bryant initially tweeted a response, he took it down.

Meanwhile, sports journalists and fans were less than impressed with the obnoxious show of masculinity. Get it together, bros.

This joint practice between Rams and Cowboys has all the intensity of a pillow fight. Sure it's thrilling on NFL Network.— Brandon George (@DMN_George) August 17, 2015

That cowboys - rams fight was pretty lame. A lot of cheap shots and wannabe tough guys jumping in late— John J. (@Lunchbox700) August 19, 2015
