Meanwhile, you may remember the stories about a disgusting YouTube video leading to a few Domino's Pizza employees getting fired, and how wild Facebook photos got some apartment tenants evicted.
Obviously not heeding the lessons of the social media victims before him, Twitter user "Timothy DeLaGhetto," aka @Traphik, tweeted something deemed inappropriate by his employer, California Pizza Kitchen, and he was subsequently fired.
Here's the story in the short: Timothy, a server at CPK, was none too happy about a recent uniform change, so he turned to Twitter to tell his company how he felt.
The initial tweet read, "@calpizzakitchen black button ups are the lamest shit ever!!!." The tweet most certainly prompted a response from the company, and eventually the Twitterer was tracked down to a Long Beach CPK store and fired for his behavior.
In response to the firing, Timothy posted a YouTube video explaining the circumstances around his controversial tweets and firing. While apparently jovial about the situation, and clearly not interested in getting his job back, the former CPK employee isn't ready to just let the situation die [update: the video appears to have been made private]
We recommend you watch the video for the full story, but we're more curious about your take on whether or not CPK did the right thing in firing the disgruntled Twitterer. We have mixed feelings. While all of us think his tweets were outlandish, we're not all convinced that expressing discontent about a uniform change is cause for firing. So, did Timothy deserve to get fired for his tweets?
