Lisle also points out that Google can be a developer's best friend, and recommends searching the Internet for advice when you have a specific question about the developing process.
In the video, above, Lisle explains the use of servers when building messenger apps. While many applications require servers, some developers working in iOS 7 might be able to use the new multipeer connectivity framework if the app only requires communication over short distances.
