January in Australia means cricket, beer and a possible sombrero to survive the long, sometimes dull, alcohol-fuelled days in the sun.

Fans have been enjoying the fourth India-Australia cricket Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, making beer snakes and holding blow-up kangaroos in the air.

On day two, Indian batsman Rohit Sharma launched a ball into the crowd and a spectator didn't let his beer get in the way of a classic catch. The fan, wearing a standard straw hat, showed off his talents to an over-enthusiastic crowd by catching the ball with one hand while holding a beer. Now, that's talent.

On day four, the Australian captain Steve Smith did not have such luck in front of the camera. In a controversial moment, he dropped a catch after being distracted by a floating television camera. The dropped ball resulted in Indian batsman Lokesh Rahul getting his first Test century -- 100 runs in an innings -- and may affect Australia's chance of winning.

At least we've got straw hat guy.
