Across conservative Pakistan, where extremists launch frequent attacks and many locals follow a strict interpretation of Islam, male cross-dressers face the challenge of balancing two identities.

Some leave their villages for the anonymity of a big city. They fear rejection from their families, and conceal their cross-dressing from neighbors and co-workers. Many of the men have common day jobs, but by night, perform as women at parties for extra money.

Although they face discrimination, the men find refuge in Pakistan's small community of cross-dressers.
