Crowdstorm is a UK product reviews site that's been around for well over a year. Pete got a sneak peek last year, and I got a chance to look at what the team's worked on since then. Not too much has changed, just further tweaks and improvements throughout the site. Crowdstorm has yet to launch its public beta, but it's nearing the end of its invite-only testing phase for its latest release, version 2.0.

You can still review products and search for reviews from other users, leave comments, and add items to your favorites. It doesn't look like the wiki format is still applied to reviews, but a more complete sphere of information is provided for each item you look up. Related items will display to the side, along with other reviews, related questions and answers from others in the community, and videos.

When you perform a search, you'll literally see a circle of users in your "crowd" based on their area and level of expertise. This is a way of providing the most useful reviews in regards to your query. Hover over these users and you'll see their trust score, and options to view their profile. Search results can be filtered by reviews, comments, Q&A, and videos.

Several have developed product review sites since we first heard about Crowdstorm, including Viewpoints, and other networks like Nsyght and Twine are taking a "social-first" approach to gaining knowledge about products and other areas of interest.
