Chris Brown's scheduled appearance on The Daily Show was quietly canceled from Tuesday night's lineup, Vulture reports.

The singer was supposed to chat with host Trevor Noah primarily about his history of domestic violence -- but the show's staffers were reportedly uneasy about his interview booking.

A statement Comedy Central provided to Mashable says that Brown's interview might be rescheduled.

"Guest bookings are always subject to change," it reads. "The show hopes to reschedule Chris for a future appearance."

Instead of Brown, Tuesday night's episode featured a Jessica Williams segment about hoverboards and Nick Cannon, there to chat about his new role in the film Chi-Raq.
