Last autumn Dailymotion announced the signing of INA for digital fingerprinting technology, in addition to the partnership the video-sharing network already has with Audible Magic. Today, the implementation of INA's technology is finalized, bringing the fingerprinting technology to all of Dailymotion's localized sites around the world.
This is a pretty important day for Dailymotion, which has already been in some hot water regarding copyrighted material, and has even lost a court case against a French Director for similar reasons YouTube is being sued by content creators across the globe. With all the legal troubles facing UGC video-sharing sites these days, more third-party services are stepping up to the plate in hopes of providing a gap-bridging solution for content creators and video networks.
