Dairy Queen Employee Will Bring Delight to Your Day

A Dairy Queen employee's actions prove that soft-serve ice cream is best served with a side of kindness.

Redditor Happy_Penguin posted a picture of an email sent to the Dairy Queen in Hopkins, Minn., written by someone who witnessed the act of generosity. The email now hangs in the Dairy Queen, appropriately boasting the good heart of 19-year-old employee, Joey.

The email describes a situation that occurred on Sept. 10, when a blind customer dropped a $20 bill after leaving the cash register. A woman proceeded to pick up the money and pocket it, leaving the Dairy Queen employee to confront her. Joey asked the woman to return the money, and when she refused, he took $20 from his own pocket and offered it to the man.

"I was in shock by the generosity that your employee had," the witness wrote. "So from a customer of your store and a customer of DQ, I would proudly like to say that Joey has forever sealed my fate as a life-long customer of the Mainstreet Dairy Queen."

Faith in humanity (and ice cream) officially restored.
