A quick look at the NFL standings shows who the best teams are on the gridiron. But forget that; we want to know who rules on social media.

Luckily, this infographic shows just that. Unmetric, a social media benchmarking company, has spent the season tracking NFL teams online to see who has the most success at gaining followers and inspiring engagement on Facebook and Twitter. Using its "Unmetric Scores," the company ranks social strategy in a number of verticals.

When it comes to combined following on the two main social platforms, the Dallas Cowboys rule the league with more than 5.5 million digital devotees. Looking at Twitter alone, however, the New York Jets are tops with more than 500,000 followers.
