SAN DIEGO -- The antichrist is all grown up, smokin' hot and very creepy in the new trailer for A&E's Damien, which dropped Thursday during a panel for the show at Comic-Con.

The series, from The Walking Dead producer Glen Mazarra, centers on Damien (Bradley James), who viewers find 25 years after the events seen in The Omen, the 1976 movie by Richard Donner.

But what's happened since we last saw him? "A lot of trouble," according to Mazarra.

"I think fans are going to be excited to not just follow his story but also go back and fill in where he's been those past 25 years," he said.

The series, which does not yet have a premiere date, will pay tribute to the events seen in the first movie but not the sequels, Mazarra added.

"We're being very respectful to it," he says. "I love that film so the more I can rip it off the better."

Damien does not yet have an official premiere date.
