At a time when images of the world are proliferating faster than any one of us can view them, there are few things left undocumented.

But some views of the world remain off limits -- except to those willing to take some risks. A video by All Points Project, a new show on the Seeker Stories YouTube channel, highlights some of the photographers who are risking arrest and even their own safety to get the perfect shot.

"Urban exploring," or seeking out lesser-seen cityscapes and structures, is not necessarily illegal. However, several of the young photographers in the video have had run-ins with law enforcement after trespassing on their quest for the perfect shot.

Urban exploring "is probably the most exciting thing I've ever done," said Victor Thomas, 23, who said he's been photographing under-explored parts of New York City for about two years.

Thomas has connected with other urban explorers via Instagram.

"Instagram helped me get together with all the other people that had the same kind of interests," said one photographer who posts under the username Demidism, "and that also wanted to urban explore New York City." Mashable spoke with Demidism in September.

"I rarely go alone; I usually like to have company with me in case I need any help. Besides it's anyways more fun with friends," he said.

"Back then when I first started doing this I didn't know much about photography," Demidism told All Points Project. But the community shared skills and learned from each other.
