In an election, it can be difficult to sift through all the jargon and mudslinging to drill down to the real issues. Voters need a strong, thoughtful and trustworthy leader to keep the country on track.

And nothing says "strong leader" like proudly displaying your penis while wearing a cowboy outfit.

Danish politician John Erik Wagner's campaign posters for prime minister, which read "Vote for Wagner, it benefits," were hung around Copenhagen in hopes of arousing some voter interest in the upcoming election on June 18.

The posters feature Wagner in a cowboy hat, gun holster and nothing else. It's unclear whether the actual posters are blurred out -- like they are in the photos below -- or uncensored.

According to Danish news website The Local, the independent candidate is known for his attention-grabbing stunts and wearing quirky clothing like country Western gear.

Wagner, a former clothing designer, has been running in parliamentary, local and regional elections for the past 10 years, but only caught attention of voters and local media in 2013 after an outburst during a televised debate. During the discussion, dressed in his signature cowboy outfit, Wagner apparently ranted about the exclusion of small, independent party candidates -- such as himself -- in elections.

He also wants voters to know he isn't soft on the issues. Wagner's platform includes closing all of Denmark's job centers, making dentist visits free and allowing workers six months of vacation each year.

Perhaps Denmark's voters should just be happy at least one candidate has nothing to hide.
