It's been a year since tension built between Dave Chappelle and Hartford, Connecticut, but it looks like there are no hard feelings after all.

Chappelle's infamous stand-up set at Funny or Die's 2013 Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival ended abruptly when the comedian, annoyed by drunk fans incessantly shouting "I'm Rick James, bitch!" during his set, refused to continue.

Chappelle returned to Hartford on Saturday, facing his potential hecklers once more, for a surprise set at the same festival. This time, audience was happy to have him back.

After being introduced by Louis C.K., Chappelle was met with audience cheers as he said, "I did not think I would ever come back to Hartford again."

This year's audience took the comedian's criticism of their town and the events of that ominous night with a grain of salt. "I've done 150 shows. All of them went well. I say that to say this, in case the media's watching: It was your fault," said Chappelle.

Chappelle's jokes, whether pointed at his audience or not, were met with laughter and applause, without a single heckler. The great feud between the city of Hartford and Dave Chappelle is over -- or the audience was just a lot more sober this time.

News of the so-called "meltdown" have been thoroughly replaced with an outpouring of fan love on social media and at the festival.
