The Oscars just got a bit more rock'n'roll.

Dave Grohl, lead singer of the Foo Fighters and red solo cup-lover, will do a "special performance" at the upcoming Academy Awards, according to a recent announcement. The Oscars, hosted by Chris Rock, will air on Feb. 28.

Details about Grohl's performance are still under wraps, but we can speculate, yes? Maybe he'll perform during the In Memoriam tribute? Or do a medley about the best picture nominees? Or appear as the flame-throwing guitarist in Mad Max: Fury Road? Yup, that's definitely it.

Along with Grohl, the Academy also announced new presenters, including Oscar winners Morgan Freeman and John Legend, and Star Wars director J.J. Abrams. Actors Sacha Baron Cohen and Henry Cavill will also present awards.
