You're not the only one who loved watching 1,000 people play the Foo Fighters' 1999 track "Learn to Fly." Dave Grohl loved it too.

The rocker posted a response video to the Foo Fighters Facebook page, thanking everyone in Cesena, Italy who participated in the event. But because this is Grohl, he didn't do any regular old thank you -- he did it entirely in Italian. And he's not half bad.

One Facebook commenter translated his words: "Hi, Cesena! I am David, hello. I’m sorry, I don’t speak Italian. Only a little, a little. That video -- but how beautiful! Very beautiful. Thank you very much [literally: a thousand thanks]. We are arriving [coming], I promise. We’ll see each other soon. Thank you very much. I love you. Bye."

The event was originally organized by Fabio Zaffagnini, a Foo Fighters superfan who wanted to do something spectacular to convince the rock band to perform in the Italian city.

Mission accomplished, Zaffagnini.
