'I just lost a hero': Stars pay tribute to David Bowie

LONDON -- Stars from across the world of music, fashion, politics and beyond paid tribute to rock icon David Bowie Monday, following the news that he had passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer aged 69.

His son, Duncan Jones confirmed the news and led the tributes.

Prime Minister David Cameron, Paul McCartney, Kanye West, and Ricky Gervais were among those paying tribute as the sad reality became clear early Monday morning.
