Take a Dive Into the World's Deepest Indoor Pool

The NEMO33 in Brussels, Belgium, will give your standard swimming pool a run for its money.

At 113 feet deep and 86 degrees Fahrenheit, the world's deepest indoor pool is a popular vacation destination (it offers diving lessons) and is often used as a film set. The pool boasts simulated caves, several platforms and a deep cylindrical pit.

Want to explore its depths from the comfort of your living room? Simply run a Google image search for NEMO33. Watch the video above for a deep dive, then take a look at some of the image results below:

Diver John Beernaerts developed the concept behind NEMO33 in the early 90s, sketching out plans on a table mat while waiting for a friend. After hearing about immaculate diving conditions in Bora Bora, he envisioned a pool for training divers that would recreate real-life conditions and replace the dirty, shallow pools in Brussels. He wanted to instill a love for diving in all who tried it.
