It seems singer Demi Lovato wanted to walk the walk when promoting her new album, Confident.

The "Cool for the Summer" singer stripped in front of Vanity Fair photographer Patrick Ecclesine, producing tasteful nude photos she wanted to be free of makeup and post-processing retouches.

Watch this on The Scene.

"When I think of confident, I think of many things, but one thing in particular is feeling comfortable in your own skin," 23-year-old Lovato said in the Vanity Fair video. "I thought there was something incredible about the idea of no makeup whatsoever, no clothes and no retouching. I would have never thought I would have ever gotten to a place in my life where I would have been comfortable doing that. It's empowering, and it shows other women that you can get to a place where you can overcome the obstacles of body image issues, and you can feel comfortable and confident in your skin.

"In the past I suffered from eating disorders, and I basically went from hating every single inch of my body to working on myself, and trying to figure out ways to love myself, love the skin that I'm in. I learned, after working very hard on my spirituality and my soul and my body. I learned you can get to a place that you can love the skin you're in, and I wanted to share that with the world."

You can find all the photos on Vanity Fair's website. Lovato's Confident is out Oct. 16.
